Ship Repair & Conversion

Ship repair generally includes all ship conversions, overhauls, maintenance programmes, major damage repairs and minor equipment repairs. Ship repair is a very important part of the shipping and shipbuilding industry.

Engineering

Marine engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of ships, boats, and offshore structures. It is a multidisciplinary field that combines elements of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, and computer science to address the specific challenges and requirements of marine environments.

Message from the CHAIRMAN

Dear Friends and Partners,

Located at the intersection of strategic transport corridors of the Caspian Sea, Baku Shipyard has a unique infrastructure and a comprehensive workshop facilities capable of building commercial and marine vessels. The shipyard has built oil and chemical tankers, road/rail passenger ferries, a floating dock, a semi-submersible drilling rig and one and only multi-purpose subsea construction vessel in the Caspian Sea – “Khankendi” with an enhanced DP3.

Inspired by the heritage, the advanced engineering and design team undertake activities in detail design, production drawing, technical support, equipment test in accordance with the standards of major classification societies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyds’s Register for Shipping, BV, RMRS and China Classification Society. 

Competitive price, high construction speed and quality are the three main principles we focus on. We adapt new construction methodologies, complex and integrative engineering applications, and the latest advances in marine technology to our new and complex construction projects.

The safety of our employees and contractors is critical during the construction and repair of ships. Accordingly, we not only comply the standards assigned but also improve the awareness of our valuable staff constantly.
