Overview
Project execution
The vessels were designed and built to have good seakeeping characteristics and maneuverability. Selection of light materials and construction of the superstructure from aluminum allowed the vessels to achieve a trials speed of 20 knots at maximum continuous rating and 15 knots operational speed with cargo onboard.
Air-conditioned and heated accommodation is provided for a complement of eight crew and eighty passengers. The compact superstructure and efficient layout offer an unobstructed panoramic view in all directions.
Upon completion of construction, the boats were assigned the RS class notation: KM HSC crew boat.
The vessels are designed to transport personnel, up to 80 people, and various types of cargo to mobile offshore drilling units and other offshore oil and gas exploration and extraction facilities. According to their specifications, they can operate up to 100 miles from the coast.
