QA
Quality Policy
Baku Shipyard places strong emphasis on quality assurance in shipbuilding and offshore fabrication. As the first shipyard in the country to obtain ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, Baku Shipyard is certified by ABS for Design, Development, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, Conversion, Upgrade and Repair of Ships and Mobile or Stationary Offshore Units, as well as the Fabrication of Marine/Offshore Steel Structures.
The Quality Division of BSY has developed a comprehensive Quality Management System to monitor quality statistics, keep traceability under control, support project delivery, and promote improvement through process approach and risk-based thinking.
Inspection and test plans define quality gates from incoming materials through fabrication, assembly, outfitting, and final acceptance.
Quality records, class documentation, certificates, non-conformance tracking, and handover packs are controlled through disciplined document flow.
Lessons learned, root-cause reviews, and corrective actions help improve reliability across projects and recurring production activities.
HSE
HSE Policy
Baku Shipyard is committed to achieving excellence in safety performance at its workplaces. Everyone has the right to stop unsafe work, with a shared goal of zero accident, zero loss, no harm to people, no damage to property, and no harm to environment.
Employers shall ensure that workplaces, machinery, equipment, and processes under their control are safe and without risks to health. Employees are expected to protect themselves and those around them, cooperate with safety obligations, and report situations that present imminent risk or danger.
Permit-to-work, toolbox talks, risk assessments, PPE discipline, and supervision keep high-risk yard activity under control.
Health protection, emergency readiness, welfare awareness, and safe workplace conditions support people working across the yard.
Response drills, incident reporting, environmental controls, and readiness checks strengthen resilience during routine and critical operations.
Baku Shipyard shall achieve its HSE target through clear priorities, management accountability, good communication, positive health and safety culture, and practical environmental awareness across daily operations.
Baku Shipyard LLC supports the long-term wellbeing and health of employees by providing a safe working environment. This policy is seriously threatened when any employee or contractor uses alcohol, drugs, or substances during working hours, reports for work under influence, or possesses, distributes, or sells such substances in the workplace.
BSY applies the Plan-Do-Check-Act method to implement, maintain, and control its Occupational Health and Environmental management system.
