Project execution
Khankendi is a state-of-the-art Subsea Construction Vessel built for stage two of the development of the largest natural gas field in Azerbaijan. The vessel was prepared to perform subsea construction activities on the Shah Deniz field between 2017 and 2027. SCV Khankendi was jointly constructed at Keppel Singmarine's shipyard and Baku Shipyard. Two hull strips were constructed in Singapore and shipped via the Suez to the Black Sea, then through the Russian rivers Volga and Don to the newly established Baku Shipyard for final joining with the bow block and hook-up with the accommodation block.
