Project execution
The TSHD Mahury repair project covered underwater hull cleaning and spot blasting, sea chest treatment, thruster grating works, zinc anode replacement, draft mark painting, topside grit blasting and painting, interior floor renewal and coating works around helideck and life boat access areas.
Scope of Work
Repair scope
- Hull scraping of marine growth, damaged coating and scale
- Underwater cleaning by high pressure water washing machine
- Spot blasting of underwater hull areas
- Sea chest and sea chest grating blasting, cleaning and painting
- Thruster grating removal, cleaning and one-coat application
- Replacement of welded hull protection zinc anodes
- Draft mark painting
- Topside area grit blasting to SA 2.0 standard and painting
- Floor renewal in messroom and alley
- Painting below helideck and forward life boat access platforms

Milestone control
Each stage is organized around production readiness, quality records, and yard coordination.
Stage 01
Hull preparation
Marine growth, damaged coating and scale were removed, followed by high pressure cleaning and underwater spot blasting.
Stage 02
Coating and anode works
Sea chest areas, thruster gratings, topside surfaces, draft marks and hull protection anodes were treated or renewed.
Stage 03
Interior and access areas
Messroom and alley floors were renewed, with coating works completed below the helideck and around life boat access platforms.
