Overview
Project execution
The NT Flagman project covered docking, transfer to repair slab, assembly of legs, wings, pads, crane systems, thrusters, gensets, hydraulic lines, piping and electrical systems. The scope also included ventilation upgrades, machinery repairs, blasting and painting, fire and PA/GA systems, CO2 system installation and light ship survey for Nurly Tolkun Turkmenistan.
Scope of Work
Repair scope
- Unloading the wings, legs, main crane accessories and other accessories from vessel
- Docking vessel and transferring the vessel to repair slab for assembly
- Assembly of the wings, lower and upper part of legs and pads
- Assembly and modification of electrical cables, pipe systems and hydraulic lines
- Installation and assembly of the main crane and preparation of engine room
- Upgrading existing machinery space ventilation for larger generators and installing new ventilation for two new thruster compartments
- Degreasing, cleaning and painting of leg ends with yellow paint
- Assembly of thrusters, gensets and emergency genset
- Fabrication and installation of handrails and vertical ladder for aft thruster gondola integration
- Installation of new electrical switchboards, panels, cables and equipment
- Repair of ME cylinder block damaged area with Belzona
- Blasting and painting underwater area and topside, including draft mark painting
- Machining of shafts, installation of shafts and propellers
- Installation of new exhaust piping for the new generators
- Installation of exhaust pipe insulation for new gensets
- Blasting and painting of fresh water tanks
- Fabrication and installation of keel cooler protection
- Installation of fire alarm system and PA/GA system
- CO2 system installation
- Flush hatch fabrication and installation
- Vessel light ship survey

Stage 01
Docking and unloading
The vessel was docked, transferred to the repair slab and prepared for unloading, assembly and integration works.
Stage 02
Assembly and integration
Legs, wings, pads, crane equipment, thrusters, gensets, piping, hydraulic and electrical systems were assembled and upgraded.
Stage 03
Coating and survey
Blasting, painting, fire and safety systems, CO2 installation and light ship survey supported final project close-out.
