Overview

Facility description

"28 MAY" Floating Dry Dock (FDD), measuring 168m x 50m, is capable of lifting and accommodating vessels with maximum 25,000t displacement.

The maximum vessel breadth that can be accommodated is 34m, with maximum drafts not exceeding 7.0m. Cranes on the top deck provide 2 x 20t lifting support.

The dock is intended to lift ships out of the water and transfer ships to the Transfer Area of the Shipyard and vice versa. 20t dock cranes and the 300t gantry crane with electric drives move along rail tracks, supported by automatic panel line and trolley transfer systems.

The dock is a floating type, single pontoon, two-wing wall, steel structured, non-propelled and non-autonomous unit with direct shore power connection. Technically, the dock is completely new, with an expected lifetime of around 50 years.

The TTS trolley transfers vessels from the Floating Dock to the Repair Slab for further repair, with maximum lifting and transfer capacity for vessels of 18,000t displacement. It can determine accurate vessel weight and COG values including LCG and TCG, supporting ballast calculations before launching.

The TTS-Transfer Trolley System provides accurate weighing and center of gravity data for vessels, pontoons and barges. This gives the yard a wider range of operational possibilities, including calculation of the exact ballast quantity required before launching a vessel.
