Shipbuilding Contract For The Construction Of Two Oil Tankers Was Signed Between Baku Shipyard And Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company On 18 November 2016

The tankers will be built at Baku Shipyard LLC by the order of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC. The project’s designer is Ukraine’s Marine Engineering Bureau. The contract was signed by the Chairman of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC Mr. Rauf Valiyev and the General Manager of Baku Shipyard Mr. Khee Chong Lam. The signing ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Self-propelled tanker with 6 cargo tanks will be able to carry up crude oil and petroleum products with density up to 1.015 t/m3, including gasoline, without restrictions for flash-point, ensuring temperature of carrying cargo up to 50ºС and providing simultaneous carriage of two sorts of cargo.
