There are different types of cranes are used in daily shipbuilding and ship repair activities. From its establishment, Baku Shipyard was well invested in necessary lifting equipment as well as other facilities. With help of its inventory cranes and lifting & transporting devices, all main shipyard activities were performed at fast track, well planned, and safe.
These cranes, lifting & transportation devices are utilized in building new ship modules, blocks, facilitate the assembly of new vessels, support ship repair & upgrading activities, also being deployed to support projects of load-in, load-out at the harbor.
Currently following lifting & transportation devices are in use of shipyards daily business:
- Gantry crane 300 T
- Wharf/jib cranes 25 t – 2 units
- Mobile cranes 80 t – 3 units
- Mobile cranes 50 t – 2 units
- Mobile crane 30 t – 1 unit
- Transporters 270 t – 2 units
- Trucks 20 t – 2 units
- Forklifts up to 10 t – 9 units
- Cherry pickers – 4 nos
- Workshop cranes from 5t to 50 t – 40 units
